Tell us about yourself

I’m originally from Mjölby, but I currently live in Jönköping. I studied Industrial Engineering and Management at Jönköping University – an amazing experience! During my studies, I was also the chairperson of the student association, which gave me early leadership experience.

What made you apply for the Volati Management Program?

I was contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn who introduced me to the program. I was immediately interested and felt it was spot on as my next challenge. The program seemed well-structured and professional – I quickly realized it was a fantastic development opportunity.

I’ve always been drawn to working in smaller, agile companies where you are close to the business, can make a direct impact, and help drive and lead a company forward.

Tell us more about your time in the program

My 1.5 years in the program were truly exciting. It started with a two-week introduction, where we received information, attended short training sessions, and worked on a case together with the other participants.

I completed three rotations. My first placement was at the head office, where I gained direct insight into the company, board work, management team processes, acquisitions, and integration work. I was then placed in two different companies, which gave me valuable insight into running a business, leading change, and managing leadership – both strategically and operationally in everyday work. I experienced what is challenging, what is straightforward, and what requires courage.

My second rotation was at Salix Construction & Packaging Solutions, and my third was in Mora, at Volati Communication.

What is your role today?

Today, after completing the program, I am the Head of IT and Business Development at Salix Construction & Packaging Solutions. It’s an exciting role with many opportunities for improvement – something I truly enjoy. I’m passionate about business and operational development, and this role allows me to focus on exactly that.

What has the Management Program meant to you?

The program has meant a great deal to me. In 1.5 years, I gained knowledge and experience that might otherwise have taken over ten years to acquire – both in practical business management and in my personal development as a leader.

It has been a true springboard for my career and a journey I value immensely.

Any advice for future candidates to the Management Program?

Change is part of the journey. Moving every six months requires adjustment. You’ll get support with practical matters (housing, transport, etc.) but be mentally prepared for the impact on your daily life. Personally, I spent six months in Stockholm, six months in Jönköping, and around six months in Mora.
